New Video Works in the Pipeline!

So as many of you probably know, for the last few years I’ve been exploring a way of composing with audio and video together, using short loops that drift in and out of phase with each other. Aside from being a lot of fun for me, the videos have found a surprising audience in places I wouldn’t have expected.

Today, I’m incredibly pleased to announce that Australia Council for the Arts has generously given me a grant to develop the idea further and make more work. 

As well as making more sample-based videos, I’ll also be working with Nonsemble and Ensemble Offspring on video works for live instrumental performance, and Jaymis Loveday will be on board to help me capture some awesome otherworldly footage for polyrhythmic mashing.

I feel incredibly privileged to have been successful - I look forward to trying to craft something worthy of this strange and unusual luxury of being given money to make art.
