An amazing track by Skinny Jean

The members of this band have been dear friends of mine for a long time. We have played shows together, I played live electronics for them for a while and Shem has played guitar for Mr. Maps from time to time. Over the years my own compositions have been influenced and inspired by the music they make.

This is a lead single from their forthcoming album, and I think it’s amazing. The casual listener will find a satisfying pop song, and those who want to dig deeper will find rhythmic complexity and clever composition.

In the current climate of zero CD sales, hardworking bands like Skinny Jean often go unrewarded for the years of financial, mental, and emotional investment they put into making a record. If you like this track I urge you to chase down a copy of the LP when it comes out.
