Sunrise Industry (a work in progress)

Another new track.

I’ve been thinking lately that it is part of an artist’s duty to feed a steady stream of optimism and positivity into the world.

For this one, I abandoned any self-consciousness regarding diatonicism, and proceeded fairly instinctively and optimistically. It’s not surprising then, that it’s completely diatonic, only really has 2 melodies, and spans four and a bit minutes… the typical profile of my compositions. It also only took a couple of days to write and record. I don’t know yet if any of this is good or bad? Is this kind of composition a work of honesty, or am I simply being lazy?

Having said all that, I really like this one. It’s unpretentious and it makes me happy. I would listen to it driving to the mountains at sunrise.
